Find your footing
A clear path back to rest.
Choose the area that matches what you are seeing. Each guide starts with the smallest, safest checks and keeps your privacy in view.
01Start here
Alarm reliability
A quick pre-nap check makes the wake-up experience more dependable.
- Run Test Alarm in PowerNapTime Settings before your first nap.
- Allow notifications and make sure your iPhone system volume is audible.
- Review Focus, Silent Mode, and connected audio devices before you settle in.
02Wake gently
Smart Wake
Smart Wake looks for a calmer moment before the deadline you choose.
- Keep your Apple Watch nearby, unlocked, and connected for watch-assisted sensing.
- Without a watch, allow microphone access for private on-device iPhone audio sensing.
- Your displayed hard deadline always remains the fallback wake time.
03Stay connected
Apple Watch
PowerNapTime works without a watch, but a reachable watch can support Smart Wake.
- Confirm the PowerNapTime watch companion is installed from the Watch app.
- Keep iPhone and Apple Watch nearby with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi available.
- Open PowerNapTime on the watch once if the connection appears stale.
04Optional context
Apple Health
Health access is optional and is only used to show available nap context.
- Review PowerNapTime access in the Health app or iOS Privacy & Security settings.
- Sleep stages appear only when Apple Health has compatible samples from a source that records them.
- The core timer and alarm continue to work without Health access.
05You stay in control
Your local data
PowerNapTime does not require an account or create a cloud profile.
- Open Settings, then Your data, to delete nap history stored by PowerNapTime.
- Manage or remove Apple Health samples separately in the Health app.
- Uninstalling the app removes its local app data from that device.

Permissions
You can change optional access whenever your routine changes.
- Open iOS Settings, then PowerNapTime, to review notifications and microphone access.
- Review motion or Health permissions in the related iOS privacy settings.
- If a permission was denied, enable it there and reopen PowerNapTime.
